Our Academics

“James Garbutt Seventh Day Adventist Primary School seeks to be a light in the South Side area of Belize City. To give every student that comes under our care the proper education that will make them productive citizens for this world and the world to come. To combat dropouts by providing alternative education that will provide students with necessary skills that will help them to be self-sufficient. There shall be no special treatment for any because of soci-economic, background, color or race, all will be treated equally.”

Literacy is one of the most challenging program in our school. Here at James Garbutt we encourage teachers and parents to read aloud daily to their children. We believe that the child who hears stories often finds learning to read easier, more enjoyable and more meaningful.
